Taylor Grothe

Hollow

Taylor Grothe is a neurodivergent (ASD) NB horror writer with an MFA from Fairfield University. Their work has appeared in Haven Speculative, Shortwave Magazine, Coffin Bell, Parents, Verywell Family, Brevity’s writing craft blog, and an anthology published by Bag of Bones Press. Taylor acted as a special editor for the Brevity special issue Trans Experience in 2022. They live in southwestern Connecticut with their spouse, two daughters, a Portuguese Water Dog, and two cats. Hollow is their debut novel.

Autumn Krause

Grave Flowers

Autumn Krause is the critically acclaimed author of the YA novels A Dress for the Wicked (Harper) and Before the Devil Knows You’re Here (Peachtree Teen). She currently lives in Orange County, CA with her husband and three children. Most of the time she can be found wearing a black lace dress and refinishing old vintage frames. Other times, she can be found—in the tradition of Emily Dickinson—out with lanterns, looking for herself and stories. Find her on social media @Autumn_ _Krause.

Books are an important lens through which teens can explore and come to understand their places within an ever-changing world. At Peachtree Teen, we recognize this, and strive to be a home for empowering, compassionate storytelling and voices that focus on authentic aspects of the teen experience. 

The Peachtree Teen imprint, under the exciting leadership of Ashley Hearn and Jonah Heller, promises to add fresh, modern, authentic, and energetic voices and stories involving identity and discovery that inspire conversation among passionate readers.

Meet the Editors

Ashley Hearn

Ashley Hearn (she/ they) is a Senior Editor at Peachtree Publishing. She has edited Morris, Stonewall, and Printz Honor books as well as New York Times and Indie bestsellers. Her list includes bestselling and award-winning author Andrew Joseph White, bestselling author Jamie Pacton, and critically acclaimed authors Autumn Krause, R.M. Romero, and Taylor Grothe among others. When she steps away from her desk, she can be found swinging longswords at her HEMA club or haunting a local coffee shop. Find her on Instagram @_AshleyHearn.

Ashley acquires exclusively YA for Peachtree Teen. She’s especially on the lookout for epic adventure fantasy, achingly romantic horror, and sweeping historical fiction. Her favorite tropes are Hurt/ Comfort, Angst with a Happy Ending, Cinnamon Rolls, Grump/ Sunshine, and Found Family.

Jonah Heller

Jonah Heller (he/him) is a senior editor at Peachtree Publishing Company Inc. The talented authors and illustrators he has partnered with have garnered numerous accolades across picture book, middle grade, and young adult audiences. Jonah actively seeks empathetic, literary voices with commercial appeal and gravitates toward narratives that feature cathartic arcs of change. When he’s not fine-tuning language and character, he can be found gallivanting through the wilderness or pretending to have a green thumb.

Zoie Konneker

Zoie Janelle Konneker (she/her) is an Assistant Editor at Peachtree Publishing in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Literature, Media, & Communication in 2020. From the summer of 2020 to the winter of 2021, she worked as a Cat Foster Coordinator at a metro-Atlanta animal shelter and attributes her love for animals and color-coded spreadsheets to her time there. She currently acquires fiction across picture book, middle grade, and young adult audiences. Her goal is to leave the world a better place than she found it through elevating underrepresented voices in children’s literature and putting relatable, relevant stories in the hands of those that need them most. Kade Dishmon

Kade Dishmon (they/he) is an assistant editor at Peachtree Publishing currently acquiring middle grade and young adult fiction. Across genres, Kade is actively seeking stories with something to say—either socio-politically or about life itself. He’s drawn to work with cathartic character arcs, authentic tween and teen messiness, and a strong sense of emotional immediacy. Kade is passionate about uplifting underrepresented voices, whether those stories are gritty and unflinching or warm and hopeful. You can find them on Bluesky and Instagram, where if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of their two fluffy cats.
