Meet the Authors

Anna Gracia

The Misdirection of Fault Lines

Anna grew up biracial in the Midwest, spending her formative years repeatedly answering the question, “what are you?” Before finding her way as a YA author, she was a CPA, a public school teacher, a tennis coach, and for one glorious summer, a waitress at a pie shop. She now lives on the West Coast, raising three kids and writing stories about girls navigating a world full of double standards.

R.M. Romero

Death’s Country

R. M. Romero is a Jewish Latina and author of fairy tales for children and adults. She lives in Miami Beach with her cat, Henry VIII, and spends her summers helping to maintain Jewish cemeteries in Poland.

Christine Webb

Shooting for Stars

Christine Webb enjoys writing about teenagers and the struggles they face. When she’s not writing, she enjoys teaching middle school, hanging out with her zoo (three goofy dogs, an evil cat, twenty nameless pigeons, and a friendly rat), or traveling with her husband. She also loves studying British history and laments the fact that she will never be Queen.

Zoie Konneker

Zoie Janelle Konneker (she/her) is an editorial assistant at Peachtree Publishing in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Literature, Media, & Communication in 2020. From the summer of 2020 to the winter of 2021, she worked as a Cat Foster Coordinator at a metro-Atlanta animal shelter and attributes her love for animals and color-coded spreadsheets to her time there. She currently acquires fiction across picture book, middle grade, and young adult audiences. Her goal is to leave the world a better place than she found it through elevating underrepresented voices in children’s literature and putting relatable, relevant stories in the hands of those that need them most.
