Description

When Mr. and Mrs. Shineyshoes leave for the day, their dog Claude and his sock puppet sidekick, Sir Bobblysock, visit a film set. From Alex T. Smith’s hilariously illustrated early chapter book series.

There’s a new movie being filmed on Waggy Avenue, and Claude and Sir Bobblysock can’t wait to check out all the action. Maybe they can even help behind the scenes. But when the movie loses its stars, our two pals are launched onto the big screen. What a wonderful day!

Quirky, delightfully odd, and positively surreal, Alex T. Smith’s beloved Claude series promises fits of giggles for readers transitioning from picture books to chapter books. Two-color illustrations throughout.

Reviews

“Smith’s endearing duo will easily hold the attention of young readers through their camaraderie and silly escapades, both behind the scenes and in the spotlight. Energetic, two-toned illustrations flood the pages of this early chapter book with humor and clever details, and the text is well suited to primary-school readers.” ―Booklist
