My sister Leslie’s daughter Clara “Biscuit” reading with Daddy |
My sister Jaime’s son Charlie “Bucket” “reading” Little Rabbit Lost |
More than building Charlie’s and Clara’s libraries, I have loved watching my sisters become mothers and I’d like to wish them and new moms everywhere a very special Mothers’ Day weekend! Here are some of our favorite board books, great for any family with new babies (Enter for your chance to win copies!):
Little Rabbit Lost Written and Illustrated by Harry Horse |
It’s Little Rabbit’s birthday and the whole family is celebrating at Rabbit World Theme park to mark the occasion. Little Rabbit insists he is a big rabbit now and ignores his parents’ warnings to stay close. But when he suddenly finds himself all alone, he doesn’t feel quite so grown up anymore. What happens when Little Rabbit realizes just how little he is?
While You Were Sleeping Written and Illustrated by John Butler |
A cozy bedtime tale all about the animals that stir while we slumber! Young readers can count the animals in snowy fields, tall oak trees, oceans and grasslands from the comfort of their own bed and dream of all that lies beyond the window while they are sleeping.
Can You Cuddle Like a Koala? Written and Illustrated by John Butler |
Butler’s interactive bedtime story about how animals move will captivate young audiences with its simple text and vibrant images. By the time you ask if they can “hug like a bear with all your might” and “curl up like a squirrel getting ready for the night,” young ones will be ready to sleep like a child with their eyes closed tight!
To win a pack of these three adorable board books, leave a comment here or send a tweet to @peachtreepub and tell me how you plan to/how you celebrated Mothers’ Day this year! I’ll pick two winners at random and contact them at the end of the drawing.
