Lana Lynn and the New Watchdog

Lana Lynn and the New Watchdog
by Rebecca Van Slyke
illustrated by Anca Sandu

Lana Lynn is an intrepid sheep who loves running through the wild woods, staying up late and howling at the moon. But Lana Lynn has heard there are wolves in the woods and knows the flock needs a good watchdog for protection, and naturally, Lana Lynn decides to take training matters into her own hooves.

So when a fierce-looking stranger with pointed teeth and yellow eyes creeps out of the woods, fearless Lana Lynn jumps into action to get this newcomer ready to take care of her flock. Even though this new “watchdog” doesn’t quite catch on to herding the sheep toward the pond or staying awake all day and night to guard the flock, Lana Lynn presses on undeterred. But will a case of mistaken identity derail her efforts and put the sheep in jeopardy?

Author Rebecca Van Slyke’s newest tale features charmingly overconfident Lana Lynn, and Anca Sandu’s adorable and funny illustrations bring this lovable heroine to life. An ideal read-aloud full of good farm fun, perfect for fall storytimes with animal lovers and fans of Lana Lynn’s first adventure!
